About College

The R. B. Narayanrao Borawake College, Shrirampur is one of the leading educational institutes, established on 15th June 1960 as a branch of Rayat Shikshan Sanstha, Satara. The college is permanently affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune (formerly University of Pune) and is located in Shrirampur, a rural tahsil of Ahmednagar district in Maharashtra.

The college is approved under sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act. The campus is spread over 42.27 acres of lush green land with state-of-the-art infrastructure. It offers quality higher education in Arts and Science streams at undergraduate, postgraduate, and research levels.

The institution runs 15 UG, 15 PG, and 06 research programs in subjects like Marathi, Economics, Political Science, Geography, Chemistry, and Botany, along with 34 short-term, value-added, and skill-based courses.

The college has received several prestigious awards including Best College Award (2008) by Savitribai Phule Pune University, Rayat Mauli Award (2007–08), Karmaveer Award (2012–13), and Best Principal Awards (2008, 2019). The annual magazine “Purti” also received Best College Magazine Awards in 2013–14 and 2019–20.

The institution is DST-FIST recognized, ISO 9001:2015 certified, and reaccredited with ‘A+’ grade (CGPA 3.44) by NAAC in its 3rd cycle in 2019. It has been granted autonomous status from the academic year 2023–24 and has implemented NEP-2020 from the same year for FYUG and FYPG programs.
