Rayat Shikshan Sanstha’s R.B. Narayanrao Borawke college library established with the establishment of college in 1960. Presently library is having following no. of collections

Library is having its own building (central library) in block no. E. Whereas the Reading Hall for boys and Girls are in block D. Reading hall capacity of 250 students. The Central library is having Ground and first floor. Ground floor has following sections, Stacking section, Circulation section, Librarian cabin, Assistant librarian cabin. Open space for the student. OPAC for library and property counter for keeping belongings. First floor consists of stacking area for Science Reference books, E- Resources section and Reading Room for Research students.

The primary aim of the library is to provide access to print as well as to e- resources. To provide reference service to staff and students.  To support educational and research program of the college.

Library  is having traditional print resources such as books, magazine , newspapers and modern resources such as CD/DVD, online resources, database etc. library is having more than 6000 + student and 300+ ( teaching + Non-teaching Members) . Library extents its service to society through the program “Library for Society” it’s have 50 members. E- Library section is having 10 computer terminals are connected through LAN and broadband connectivity for internet purpose.

The library is having its own organizational Institutional Repository known as “Rayat Knowledge Bank”. Which consist 1200 E-Books, 5000-PPT, 430-images, 27-Video’s, 210-Audio’s and 87-Links.

Library has wide range of collection on different subject such as biographies, Autobiographies, Novels, History and motivational books. Ample no of literature on Marathi, Hindi and English is available. The Books on arts, culture, physical education, Science streams books, Text, Reference books etc. This will help to inculcate reading habits amongst the college community.

Library provides OPAC, WEBOPAC Facility to the users. Library orientation, e-resources training session of staff and PG student conducted periodically.

Library Computerization: our college is using MKCL’s Libreria Library management system, designed and developed by Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Ltd. (MKCL) the software is designed to automate all functionalities and operations of library according to international standards. Library is fully automated issue and return of library resources is with the help of barcode and barcode scanner. OPAC, WEBOPAC facility is also available to readers on the internet. 42 college library’s of Rayat  Shikshan Sanstha’s are connected together , OPAC is for these libraries is available 24*7 and anywhere because of cloud server facility.
